The CRSIRP Program - Malfeasance (Sexual Misconduct) Coverage
As of June 1, 2013, CRSIP offers Malfeasance (i.e. mistreatment, abuse or neglect) Liability Insurance to its members for an additional contribution. This coverage can help protect the member organization from the financial burden associated with defending allegations of malfeasance, and, should the unthinkable occur, offer assistance and compensation to the victims. The policy will also provide coverage for defence costs arising from criminal charges that are withdrawn or where the insured is acquitted. To qualify for this important protection, a completed application is required.
The following items are included in the Malfeasance (Sexual Misconduct) coverage:
- Bodily Injury Liability
- Defence Costs and Supplementary Payments
- Criminal Defence Costs
- Medical, Rehabilitation and Counselling Expenses
